Sicklerville is located in Camden County, New Jersey within the Township of Winslow. Conveniently accessed via the Atlantic City Expressway, Sicklerville is situated just twenty miles southeast of Philadelphia and forty miles northwest of Atlantic City. Sicklerville was established in 1851 by John Sickler, a farmer and preacher whose descendents still live in the area today.
Presently home to a population of approximately 50,000 residents, Sicklerville boasts a wealth of opportunities for outdoor sports and recreation! The community features a number of municipal parks and recreational facilities that include Frank Donio Memorial Park, a popular birding and wildlife sanctuary that is home to the Winslow Township Maullers, and Peter Volpa Memorial Park, host of the Winslow Township Soccer League. The historic Freeway Golf Course is also located in Sicklerville. A challenging 18-hole public golfing facility, it is considered the home of amateur golfing legend Bill Bishop and was the site of the first Sammy Davis Jr. Open in 1973.
